Dedicated to all decendants of John Abbe of England

This site is an attempt to list as many decendants as possible for referance on this very prolific and widespread family. The family's history in America begins in Salem, Mass in 1634 with the forementioned John arriving in the Merchent Boneventure. The family spread out through Massecusetts into Connecticut and farther. Some, including my ancesters went to Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana, and then to Iowa and as far as California. Now we are spread across the entire United States. I have never been able to find all of the records in one place, so I though that I'd put them in here.
I was figuring, that the family averages 5.5 surviving chilren for every generation, and John is my 10th great grandfather, making 13 generations. Using 5.5 chidren as the average, John Abbe has around 25 million decendants (25,329,515 to be exact according to the calculations). I have about 2,150 in my database right now, but I will have more with your help.
Most of the information in here was from an online book I lucked into finding. It is here for your own research. It is a scanned copy of the first four generations of the Abbe/Abbey Genealogy by Cleveland Abbe and Josephine Nichols that I found in the U.S. Genweb Project archives.
